Amy Lynn Yoga, LLC

Founded by Amy (Friederich) Rocca, 200-Hour CYT

Thanks for stopping by! I have been teaching yoga since 2016 while also working full-time in the legal field. That was until COVID-19 hit, and I was let go from my cushy corporate job. Seeing an immediate need for online wellness opportunities, I created Amy Lynn Yoga, LLC. I have since added in-person sessions and continue to offer virtual classes too. As an experienced yoga instructor, former trial lawyer, and adjunct professor, I know firsthand how important it is to manage stress and find balance. My mission is to help other busy professionals experience the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of yoga so they can show up and live their best lives!

I first started practicing yoga as a supplement to my other workouts, including cardio kickboxing and weightlifting. Later, as I went through law school, yoga became an effective way to relieve stress and bond with my law school bestie. I also started experiencing chronic hip pain due to a disc bulge in my lumbar spine and found that certain yoga poses provided consistent relief.

While working as a trial lawyer, I decided to deepen my personal practice and complete a yoga teacher training program. I wanted an outlet outside of the legal field, to meet new people, and to learn about a subject I found truly interesting. I honestly never intended to teach. However, I started teaching pop up events through a nonprofit called Yoga Buzz, and I was hooked! I have been teaching ever since.

I incorporate a variety of movement, breath, and meditation into each flow to help students practice their own unique form of yoga. Each session is customized to fit the student’s intentions, whether that is increasing flexibility, making time for self-care, or learning about yoga philosophy.

Outside of yoga, I am a huge music nerd and love to create my own playlists. I also love to travel and have been to over 20 countries. I especially enjoy adventurous travels where I can hike or paddle board. I live in St. Louis, Missouri, with my husband and our dogs, Murphy and Zilo. We love to garden, canoe the Mississippi River, and explore the city. I am also a proud aunt of two nieces and two nephews.
